California Trip Days 6 & 7

I needed to start the blog with this photo of my husband and daddy. When they say a daughter marries a man like her father... they mean it. *sigh*

On Wednesday, Ron and I headed down to Newport Beach for our favorite Mexican food at El Matador. This place has the BEST tacos and some serious salsa. I was so happy to have some real Mexican food made by real Mexicans for the first time in six months. Heaven! (Oh, and Lancaster folks, El Serrano is NOT Mexican food so don't even go there!)

After our delicious lunch, we enjoyed the perfect weather and took a short walk down the road to Goat Hill Tavern - a local Newport Beach favorite. We enjoyed a round of shuffleboard and a few games of pool with some random guy named Cory who was suffering from a St. Patty's day hangover.

Thursday was full of errands like picking up the Tux for the wedding and delivering our bird "Squirt" to his new home with Ron's cousin Dan and his wife Dana. We will miss him but we know he is in good hands.
Later we got dressed and headed out to the Rehearsal Dinner for Wayne & Christy's wedding.

The Bridal Party Girls: Nicole (cousin), Meredith, Me, Christy (Bride) and Vicky (in front- Sister)

We are looking forward to the wedding and are praying for a beautiful day and a long, happy marriage for our dear friends Wayne & Christy!
